Celebrating over two decades of creative community spirit!

Indigo's incredible team have been sharing their passion for, and commitment to all things creative, together with a vast range of professional experience since 2001. Those who have been a part of their very special brand of community are testimony to the power of the arts, and to the wide ranging impact that they have not only on the individual, but on the community as a whole. Indigo is driven by its participants, whose energy, enthusiasm and dynamics ensure the impact of this local charity is sustained beyond its 21st Birthday!

Registered Charity no.1094794

creativity is inherent in all humanity . . .

. . . yet we begin a process of unlearning the ability to create from early childhood. Pushed into the background of mainstream education, the opportunity to access & explore creative and artistic potential is always limited, and often denied. The result of this process? A society frustrated, bent on destruction and lacking in imagination. It is vital that the creative process is encouraged & nurtured; that the journey of the imagination is allowed to continue unhindered by the constraints & barriers of uniformity and categorisation; that the value of individuality is recognised and celebrated. Indigo was set up to redress the balance; to provide opportunity & access to resources, support, experience & knowledge; to fulfill creative potential; to explore the individual; to take up the journey, wherever it may lead.'

"Indigo Celebrates 21 years"

"It was a pleasure to attend Indigo Arts' 21st Birthday celebrations at the weekend. Once again it was packed with brilliant performances  from its Young Indigo, IndigoCo and Take 2 groups, some of whom have been with them since the start.

Congratulations to Cathy Moss and her dedicated team of volunteers and performers who provided a heart-warming family show that definitely had the 'feelgood factor'.

Better still, some of the vocal harmony numbers would have doubtless won plaudits from TV talent judges.

Indigo Arts is a huge credit to the town and all those involved should be rightly proud

"Songs for a New World – Indigo Co'

"What a breath of fresh air this production by Indigo Arts of Jason Robert Brown’s Broadway smash hit is. Staged in a pop-up theatre in Millward Square in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, it was pinch yourself time to think this was happening right here in Redditch with a fantastic ensemble of singers, musicians and technical staff....

....Throughout the three piece live band were right on cue and I loved the backdrop and lighting too and it all built to a moving finale of soaring harmonies that brought the curtain down on a great night out."

"Ashes & Blood"

This was a fabulous, professional show and I felt privileged to be there at the first public performance last Saturday. An empty shop in the Kingfisher shopping centre was transformed into an intimate theatre with Indigo Arts doing two shows before heading off to the Edinburgh Fringe. I have not enjoyed anything as much as this for years, a Cinderella for adults, and was wowed by the singing and acting talents on show.
